Hi I'm Michelle,
I opened Truthful Art Studio in 2013. For the last 9 years I have enjoyed spreading my LOVE of art through the power of teaching. You can feel the ease of joining my classes knowing that NO experience is necessary! We are here to create and just have a good time.
I received my BFA from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania studying Painting and Art History. After school, I found myself in art restoration restoring paintings that gone through water & fire damage. I later had stumbled across my studio in Oakmont just as a place I can work creating paintings & to flip some antique furniture. Never did I realize that it would become what it is today. I guess that's the beauty of it after all, When you are passionate about something and LOVE what you do work doesn't seem like work.
I knew I always wanted to be a teacher. The art teachers I had growing up were so inspiring and I wanted to encourage people to dig deep and find their childlike creative self again. I get no greater pleasure to see the excitement on peoples faces astonished that they created a work of art!
I believe art is not based on the end result of a perfect image, but merely on the process itself. To leave my class fullfilled, relaxed and accomplished is what Truthful Art is about.
With lots of LOVE & creativity,
