Hi I’m Michelle,

I opened Truthful Art Studio in 2013. For the last 10 years I have enjoyed spreading my LOVE of art through the power of teaching. You can relax and feel at ease joining my classes knowing that no experience is necessary! We are here to create and just have a good time.

I received my BFA from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania studying Painting and Art History. After graduation, I began my career in art restoration restoring paintings that gone through water & fire damage. I later stumbled across an warehouse / old garage in Oakmont that I converted into my studio, just to have a place where I could work, creating paintings and flipping some antique furniture. Never did I realize that it would become what it is today.  I guess that’s the beauty of it after all, when you are passionate about something and LOVE what you do, the commitment to process just flows.

I knew I always wanted to be a teacher. The art teachers I had growing up were so inspiring and I wanted to encourage people to dig deep and find their childlike creative self again. I get no greater pleasure to see the excitement on people’s faces astonished that they created a beautiful work of art!

I believe art is found not in the end result of a perfect image, but in the process of creating itself. To leave my class fulfilled, relaxed and accomplished is what Truthful Art is all about.

With lots of LOVE & creativity,
